Curanderos are healers were people who cured illnesses, cured with herbal treatments and massages to cleanse the spirit and heal illnesses. A healer is a person who heals the physical body through Spirit. Spirit is for some God, the Universe and all that is.
The shaman has special knowledge, acts outside established religions and acts alone. They have an ability to communicate with spirits, over which they have control. Most shamans practice imitative magic. Some anthropologists define the shaman as an intermediary between the natural and spiritual world, who travels between worlds in a trance state. Once in the spirit world, he contacts them for help in healing and hunting. The shaman is said to control all spirits, whether good or bad.
This is 50 min video that describes how Rocio started her own healing after recovering from illness with FIbromyalgia and more.
